Facility
Raising the Bar Equestrian is proud to be operating out of Hilaur Farm a beautiful facility conviently located between Georgetown and Lexington on Russell Cave Rd. This facility provides an abundance of room for hacking, as well as large indoor and outdoor arenas and even a beautiful riding field for fitness work on hills and some light cross country schooling. Additionally there is a covered round pen and hot walker for use if needed! The barn boasts 12 roomy stalls each with windows and matting to keep our horses comfortable in all conditions. There is ample turnout room for both individual turnout and small groups. Most of the paddocks have access to large shelters as well. The barn has a wash rack with hot and cold water, feed room, and adjacent tack room for all your storage needs.
Board and Training
Lessons
We offer lessons on both your horse or ours. Lessons are catered to the goals of each horse and rider pair from casual riders just trying to get their weekly dose of fresh air, beginners getting a solid foundation, or competitive, advanced riders with big show goals. Our variety of lesson horses have the ability to teach riders a variety of skills from your first canter to learning the nitty, gritty details of jumping around a course of jumps.
We are proud to offer full care board allowing us to care for your horse's every need! Horses are turned out nightly (subject to change due to weather) and have their feet painted with hoof oil prior to being turned out as well as their hoofs picked each day when they come back inside. Our full care board also includes high quality alfalfa/orchard/timothy mixed hay fed up to 4 times a day or as needed and Purina feeds fed twice a day as well as any supplements or other feeds provided by the owner. All horses are required to be in at least partial training which includes any combination of 2 training rides and lessons per week. We have a wide varitey of horses from young horses just being started under saddle through horses competing in hunters and jumpers at local and rated shows. We are also proud to offer a variety of consignment options to suit each horse and situation from green horses needing professional miles to horses needing more miles with juniors/amateurs or even just a quick sale.
